The Colorado Literacy Tutor is funded by the Interagency Education Research Initiative (IERI) whose mission is to improve education in mathematics, reading, and the sciences by supporting a well-focused, rigorous program of research. Our partners include: The Institute of Cognitive Science at the University of Colorado - promoting interdisciplinary research and training in the cognitive sciences. The Center for Spoken Language Research - focusing on research and education in areas of human language technology. Pearson Knowledge Technologies - providing machine-learning products that understand the meaning of text. The Colorado Department of Education - serving Colorado's 178 local school districts. The Coleman Institute - to catalyze and integrate advances in science, engineering and technology to promote the quality of life and independent living of people with cognitive disabilities. The Boulder Valley School District - challenging students to achieve their academic, creative and physical potential. The Center for Teaching, Learning and Technology - moving educational technology innovations into the practice of educators. |
